Work Experience and Voluntary Work
Legal Work
The Law Centre is not in a position to take on volunteers,
trainees or student placements giving legal advice or assistance to clients.
It is our policy to ensure that all posts are established
and resourced to ensure that the worker gains useful experience, developing
their skills and knowledge, as well as enabling them to contribute effectively
to the Law Centre's services. To achieve this it means being able to provide
appropriate support, training and back-up to the individual. Our resources
are stretched to the limit at the moment and we would not be able to offer
the support, training or back-up necessary.
Administrative Work
The Law Centre runs an administrative volunteer scheme. The administrative
volunteers work on the switchboard and reception as well as carry out
some administrative tasks. More about becoming
a volunteer and an application form.
