Training

Employment

The Employment unit runs training courses for CABx, Trade Unions, other Law Centres and independent advice agencies on all aspects of employment law. These courses are very popular for their practical approach. Courses can be designed for specific in-house needs for trade union advisers. If you wish to commission a course, please contact Tamara Lewis at the Law Centre.

Training courses include: race, sex, disability, religion and age discrimination, sexual harassment, unfair dismissal, redundancy, unilateral variation of contract, TUPE, drafting of tribunal claims, preparing cases for Employment Tribunals, representation at Employment Tribunals.

Housing

The housing unit runs training courses for County Court duty scheme advisors representing tenants defending possession proceedings as well as running bespoke, one-off courses for community workers.
